Born in 1970 in Hokkaido, Japan, Yoshinobu Kataoka graduated from Kyoto Seika University under the supervision of Master Jyunichi Katano (T.Compose. Ltd). In 2001 he was chosen as lead-designer to launch the jewelry brand yoshinob (Alpha Co., Ltd). He left "yoshinob" in 2011 to open "kataoka jewelry and objets d'art" in Tokyo to pursue his true passion; create the most delicate and elegant jewelry for modern women. His unique metal-carving skills and the delicate designs found in his creations brought kataoka jewelry and objets d'art wide recognition in Japan and internationally. (less)
