Chilewich has built upon a foundation of floor mats and tabletop designs with its thriving contract division, which debuted in 2001 with woven textiles for wall-to-wall and tile flooring. Joe Sultan, founder Sandy Chilewich’s architect husband, spearheaded the development of backings suitable for commercial use. Today the division includes backed and un-backed woven fabrics for use on walls, panels, windows, and upholstery.
