Shawn Pityk
Kiski Area High School

Shawn Pityk is currently the Director of Bands at Kiski Area High School in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. His teaching responsibilities include directing the high school Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble "A", and co-teaching the Jazz Ensemble "B".  Shawn also teaches Advanced Music Theory and co-teaches the 7th and 8th grade bands at the Kiski Area Intermediate School.  He was also the director of the nationally acclaimed Kiski Area High School Marching Band from 2005 to 2013, and continues to contribute to the ensemble in an advisory role with focus on design, planning, and recruitment....

Shelley Insko

Shelley Insko teaches instrumental music at Kiski Area Upper Elementary School, which includes being a director of the 6th Grade Elementary Band and Jazz Ensemble.  She has been teaching elementary music in the district since 1999. 

After graduating from Kiski Area High School, Shelley studied music at Morehead State University in Kentucky, earning a Bachelor of Music Education degree.  She was a graduate assistant and adjunct professor of oboe while earning a Master of Music degree with emphasis in performance.

Shelley stays active as a professional keyboardist and vocalist.  She has toured Canada and the U.S....
